CUKSN Conference Autumn Term 2019

The Conservatoires UK Student Network held their Autumn Conference in Glasgow at the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland. SU President, Nia Thomas, joined other Presidents from all conservatoires across the country to discuss a range of matters and topics which are effect and relate to the students of these institutions.

Talking about the conference, CUK Chair Lloyd Pearce says “The CUK Student Network is one of the most useful groups that SU Presidents are members of. It gives chance for all Unions to share best practise and resources to ensure that all students are getting the best out of their experiences in their respective institutions.”

Today is World Mental Health Awareness Day. Mental Health is an issue that is dominating our conversations, our discussions and debates throughout the country. It’s important to give mental health the recognition and respect it deserves, however, not just for the one day.

The SU has pledged, as it has for many years, to put our students first and be there for them throughout their time at RWCMD. Whether they need an ear or a shoulder, we are here for you. Each person may befacing different challenges, however, everyone has one uniting factor. You’re not alone, we are here to help anyone and everyone.

We may be facing more challenges than previous generations, but if we continue to work together and face these issues with a positive mindset, we will overcome them.
Thanks to MIND for the resources during their visit a few weeks back.
