Community Police officers

The College maintains excellent links with the local Police through dedicated Community Police Officers.

Regular information regarding student safety and security advice is passed from the Police to students via the Director of Student Experience and Students’ Union.

If you would like to contact the Police in confidence, then please speak to the Director of Student Experience or SU President in the first instance, who will then arrange for an officer to see you.

Reporting a crime

If you’ve witnessed or been the victim of crime please report it to the police.

If the crime is a non-emergency, you can call 101 or report it via an online form. It takes around 15 minutes and you will be contacted within 48 hours.

Reports are dealt with by our control room in exactly the same way whether you report it online or call.

If you’d like to report a crime anonymously, please get in touch with CrimeStoppers.

Streetsafe

StreetSafe is a pilot service for anyone to anonymously tell us about public places where you have felt or feel unsafe, because of environmental issues, eg street lighting, abandoned buildings or vandalism and/or because of some behaviours, eg being followed or verbally abused.

Please note: 'StreetSafe' is not for reporting crime or incidents.

Cardiff Safety Bus

The Cardiff Safety Bus patrols the city centre every Wednesday, Friday and Saturday night and will provide help to anyone who needs it -student or not.

The Safety Bus can take you home, to a friend’s house, a police station, or a hospital.
