We have included a drink in the ticket price, but I'm sure you can imagine if that's all you were paying for we'd just be standing in the Foyer sipping one drink for seven hours!
As we are running the ball at College and not at a different venue, we are paying for security, insurance, on-site medics, crowd barriers, extra seating outside, and cleaners to work through the night (as Junior Conservatoire is happening at 8am the next morning!) We also pay for entertainment, photographers, a designer to design the invitations and wristbands and decorate the Foyer, Linbury Gallery, and SU, and the temporary bar we build in the Gallery.
We also work with a Production company closely on the planning of the event so that the SU Team (most of which are graduating as well) can enjoy the Ball too!
